BEGINNING QUILTING
In this 5 session course, you will learn basic rotary cutting and
safety, four different machine piecing techniques and will finish
your quilt top in the last class! Students should be able to
complete each block in the time allowed so there won’t be any
homework. Eagle Creek will provide rotary mats and rulers for use in
class. You may even register to use one of our sewing machines.
Class size is small to provide maximum attention to each student.
Students should stop into the shop before class to pick out their
fabrics.
Class fee: $35.00

CLOTHESLINE BASKETS
Come enjoy the fun of creating this wonderful basket made from
clothes-line (yes, really!) and strips of fabric. Sandi will
show you how to “wrap and roll” the time away while you create your
own original piece of art. The project ideas are truly end-less for
this technique. You can even create a lid for your basket if you
wish. Check out the color picture on our website. This is a one
session class. Zig-zag stitch required.

EAGLE CREEK HOOKERS
(rug hookers that is)
Open to all rug hookers, the hook-ins are the first Tuesday evening
of each month. Come and be inspired and motivated by these
wonderfully creative women. The conversation is excellent and the

FUSIBLE APPLIQUÉ
The ECQS staff is having fun creating beautiful picture wall
hangings using fusible applique methods. Let Becky guide you
in the process of creating your unique picture. You may choose one
of eight different Laundry Basket patterns. After the fusing
process, you will use your sewing machine to add texture and color
with different threads. We have turned this class into a full day to
allow more time
for embellishing.

HAND APPLIQUÉ
beginner
Customers have been asking for a basic beginning hand appliqué
class so Becky Hagen has come to your rescue with this new class.
She will cover freezer paper, needle turn, threads, needles, seam
allowances, fabric preparation, etc. With this small project you are
allowed a full day to practice under the watchful eyes of your
instructor and see if you want to expand your quilting world to
include the land of appliqué.

created from strips which are then cut into the elongated star shape
using the ruler. The design possibilities are endless with

REST, RELAX & QUILT
Rest, Relax and Quilt evenings have become quite popular and a
good time is had by all. The monthly sew-ins allow you some
one-on-one time with a knowledgeable ECQS staffer when you need
help finishing a UFO or just need time out to sew.

THE
TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
with Patricia Cox

We’ve had such a delightful time this past year with our Redwork
Club that we are doing it again! Pat is busy creating new designs
based on the Twelve Days of Christmas. Each block is sure to
enchant you and the patterns are included in the class fee.
Students may work their blocks in traditional redwork or branch
out using different colors and varigated flosses. As always, you
will learn many new embroidery stitches in additional to the
traditional stem stitch.

BASICS

it is to work with wool felt as you make your own small penny rug.
This is a technique class designed to teach you the blanket stitch
and how to work with wool and wool felt. Class fee includes kit

WOOL FLOWERS
BLOCK OF THE MONTH

This beautiful quilt was designed by our very own Cindy Nordin of
Heartfelt Garden. She is eager to assist you in the creation of
your own unique wool garden of flowers. Each month features a
different flower and is a great opportunity for
fellowship, fun and fabric. Our expert wool dyer, Elaine
Ferron, is busy creating yummy wool colors for you to plant in
your garden.
